The 2026 (38th) Asian Finance Association Conference

The Asian Finance Association (Asian FA) invites submission of high-quality research papers for its 38th Annual Conference, to be held in Seoul on July 2-4, 2026. The conference is organized by the Asian Finance Association and co-hosted by the Korean Finance Association and the Seoul National University Business School.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS: The conference program includes two keynote speeches. Professor Dong Lou, Head, Chair Professor, and Citi Professor of Business at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Business School, will give the first keynote on July 3. Professor Isil Erel, David A. Rismiller Chair in Finance and Academic Director of the Risk Institute at the Fisher College of Business, Ohio State University, will be our keynote speaker on July 4.

PAPER SUBMISSION: Please submit manuscripts in English via ConfTool at https://www.conftool.org/asianfa2026 in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) or Adobe PDF (.pdf) format by February 13, 2026; decisions will be communicated by email on April 5, 2026.

A separate cover page should be submitted with the authors’ information, and the blinded manuscript must not include any self-identifying information. The abstract can be up to 200 words, and papers submitted must represent original work not published or accepted elsewhere. At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the conference and present in person.

BEST PAPER AWARDS: Papers accepted for presentation at the conference are eligible for a Best Paper Award. There will be six best paper awards of US $1,000 each, to be awarded at the Gala dinner.

DOCTORAL CONSORTIUM AND BEST DISSERTATION AWARDS: The 38th Asian Finance Association Annual Conference will host a Doctoral Consortium led by prominent scholars (to be announced), providing PhD candidates with a focused forum to present their papers. Two outstanding presentations will receive the Best Dissertation Award of US$1,000 each.

by the Indonesian Finance Association and 

Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM).
